Default Trying to figure out cast date

I have a small block motor, the block is a 0010 4 bolt. It has no cast date on the rear of the motor in it's typical spot. It has a K 12 on the back near the cast number. There is nothing except 302 on the front ledge where the block codes/vin go. I found this cast into the right side of the block, I included a picture below, if you can help me out it would be appreciated. I sort of wonder if it is a DZ block, oh yea, it does have an 1178 crank.
Thanks for any input!

i'm sure you know the 1178 crank is a 302 forged 3" stroke crank. is there any think on the oppossite side of the block in the rear? the k 12 should be the 11th month 12th day but there should be a 7 8 or 9 after that. i'm sure you know this so let me do some checking for you to see if i can fine anything else for ya

John,
That would be great, this one has me baffled. I included another picture showing the cast number and the supposed date, notice it is on the same side of the block! There is nothing in the spot the cast date would normally be. Thanks again for any help that can be given.

the clock on the block looks like to me it was cast 6pm second shift ,the pad on the front of the block should be about 4 1/2". is there any #'s on that pad ? it has to be a 4 bolt to be a 69 block, there also may be a # on the tranny flange.looks like the heads are on the block and from what i see maybe correct for the block, send me those #'s & i'll look them up to see.

John,
Here is another thing that is strange to me, although it means nothing to me in the sense of giving a crap. The heads are 3991492- They should be cast from 1969 thru 1972 or 73 and could be 1.94 or 2.02 and 1.50 or 1.60 (327 or 350) depending on the source of information. The cast dates on these heads are H-19-4 & B-25-5!! Beats the hell out of me, I have a fair amount of good literature and have not seen these being cast in that time period. The motor runs strong, have had it for years, going to freshen and paint it orange, putting it in my '68 Nova.

Damn, she is even prettier undressed!!
