i think venolia are more of a custom piston not off the shelf, what the
pro's use. all the shelf piston companys can make custom slugs,
so, (my thinking) either match the venolia or order a complete
set, i bought the lunati pistons, 4.310, off the shelf, but most
companies will make custom, good luck

Contact Ed Wilson (Edvanced Engines) he is a wd for BRC Performance. They can make you a custom set as good or better and way quicker than Venolia, and at a very competitive price. Ed is a member here, check out the sticky thread here about his pistons, I am using them in a SBC with over 700 hp of nos.

Ed's phone # is 972-633-0563

The 1.094 pin size is what's going to hose you.

That pretty much defines aluminum rods.

I just bought a set of pistons from Diamond, ran me about 1300.00 with pins, pin buttons, and rings.

Pistons were gas ported, using .043/.043, 3/16 rings. Fully CNC top, 10.4:1 with 121CC head and a .050 head gasket.

If it wasnt for the pin diameter, you could probably pick those pistons up off the shelf from J/E.

You cant go wrong there, Ed and Brc are unbeatable. I was usung Venolia and keeping them in buisness going through about 6 sets per season, after using Ed's Brc my piston issues are gone.
