Default Towing a 28' trailer

I'm going to order a 28' trailer from proline on here. My question is, do the people who tow trailers like this have to use load leveler hitches or anti-sway bars?
I have a 2003 chevy 2500HD.

Yes they do, i bought a 28' enclosed last year, it is a b***h to pull without anit sway bars, best buy you could ever make!! It will sway with wind without them. just my thought. I pull with a 2500 dodge diesel.

I would recomend the equalizer hitch with anti sway bars for sure. Piece of mind when your towing. On the sway bars I jack up the bottom of the hitch when the trailer is conected so the anti sway bars are easier to put on. They should be level to the frame of the trailer when hooked up.
When you unhook the anti sway bars do the same, raise the hitch up while it's conected to the ball..

I also bought an electric tounge jack. It's worth the money too.
Good luck towing your enclosed.

I have a 24' i bought last year and just have the levelers with chains and load my car rar in the back as far as it will go. So far it helped alot they are a handful without anything, especially passing a semi.Defininetly a good investment.

I figured I would need it. I'm going to be hauling an altered, 4 wheeler or scooter, and our inventory of shirts, helmets, and other items. The trailer will be dual purpose. That way when we go to a race track to sell, I can race too. When we go to carshows and other events, I can use the car for display.

The weight distribution bars help to distribute your load. I also have an anti sway bar that goes from the tounge to the hitch. Both are needed with a larger trailer.

Be safe, and enjoy your new trailer!

Thinking about this one. It has built in sway control.

That is the only way to go I would not tow with out it. Have a big truck come up along side you when you don't have one on and hold on you will be in for a ride. With the hitch you don't feel it at all.
