condition: "new" LMAO

Fresh from the machine shop??What did they grind the crank with?A 4" angle grinder??No,seriously,looks like cosmoline on the crank.But it sure looks dirty for a motor fresh from the shop/out of the dip tank.You never know.

I with olds48 I'm sure the crank has some cosmiline on it or he smeared some grease all over it, but the pistons look nasty and the block well, cant really tell much from that pic but it does look vatted.
I bet if you messaged the guy he would send better pics and give all the necessary info, might be a good deal

It just looked funny because I was expecting to see "new" looking parts. I don't know about cosmiline but I have greased them and after awhile it look like varnish on it from sitting. I would have cleaned the stuff up before putting it on ebay for sale though. It wasn't a big deal I am sure it is ok I was just in a goofy mood this morning and got a laugh out of it... The guy also had a DZ 302 Chevy. I had one of those 1178 cranks brand new never been run that my dad had saved for years...sold it on ebay last summer.

I guess it was funny to me cause I sorta expected a "ready to assemble" motor would look more like this one.
