Default What kind of timing

What kind of timing should I run on a 482bbc 13.5-1,aluminum headed motor with a 720 roller?I was thinking around 36* plus or minus 2*.And I don't have the cam card for the cam so what is the ideal lash setting for a solid roller 720 lift cam?Someone told to start with .026 straight across and go from there.
