Default Rear End Size for 72 Nova

I need to get a posi unit for my 72 Nova, but I don't want to have to change the case. It has 10 bolt on the rear pan, is that an 8.5 or 7.5? And can I get an auburn unit kit for it?
Help?

Default Nova rear end

That would be neither the 7.5" or the 8.5". It would be the 8.2" diameter ring and pinion.

I am not sure about the Auburn units, though.

That's not a good website address, but thanks. There is a crate rearend place on the web I'll search for (currie I think).
Hoping that I can use the case for a 8.5 posi unit. How can I tell?

thanx for the correction tod, i will blame the computer ha.
tom's has all you need to change a 10 bolt in to a heavy
monster. the good rebuildable 10 bolts have ears on the bottom,
if they don't go with a 12 bolt if you have to replace it, i am
going to have my 10 bolt for sale in a month, going with
a shorten rear with a spool the 10 bolt has 3:73 US gears
good luck
