welding roll cage
ok guys;;;;been trying to by a mig welder to weld my own roll cage[ms]doesn't look like i can afford one right now so i found a guy that is a gas pipe welder at one time .he agreed to come and weld my roll cage for me for less then i can buy a welder for..need to know nhra rules as to how to weld cage.i know got to to mig welded but that is all i know..the welder i talked to ask me what filler[wire type i'm guessing] that they want used and also asked if there is any weld wedith that they alow..
can anyone give me the information i need to tell welder before he starts welding.i'm 225 miles[one way] form closes nhra inspector to certify my cage so don't want to make this long trip and be told welds are wrong..

I would seriously consider saving your money to put towards your own welder.Hate to see you spend those same hard earned dollars twice.Nobody you can borrow one from?As far as the specs, when I ordered my cage the company sent those with my bars.
