Default Friday Pic's and Qualifying From US Street Nationals

Another great day at the US Street Nationals. Round 1 qualifying was met with lots of sunshine and a track with serious hook. Some very impressive numbers from a few folks will give the rest of the pack something to shoot for tomorrow. Dan Parker is driving Ray Sanchez's Ontario based mount. An impressive 4.82, there's more there with that combination and 2 more rounds of qualifying.

Friday qualifying:

Pro Street: With names like Tony Christian and Mike Hill in the mix there's no telling what we'll see tomorrow. A very impressive shot by Oklahoma's Dean Goforth at 4.141. (Un-official, not all cars had finished crossing the scales when the sheets were printed)
1. Dean Goforth, Holderville OK, 06 Pontiac, 4.141, 171.85 MPH (currently top MPH)

Outlaw 10.5: Great field with lots of ORSCA cars in attendance... some impressive numbers.
1. Charlie Dolbin, Quarryville PA, 90 Mustang, 4.566, 156.49 MPH (Currently top MPH, Bill Futch 169.97 MPH)

Drag Radial: This will be the class to watch tomorrow, I'm hearing it will take 4.85 to win. Hance has some pretty impressive MPH, does Troy have more in the Camaro? Lots of discussion between the SR and JR on tune-ups last night. Time will tell.
1. Troy Pirez, Seffner FL, 4.902, 148.09 MPH (Current top MPH, David Hance, 158.11 MPH)

Heavy: Ray Claery's 63 Plymouth gets the ultimate cool award and this thing halls the mail with a classic Chrysler Hemi. The closest competitor is over 2 tenths away. It'll get interesting tomorrow, no doubt.
1. Ray Claery, Potomac MD, 63 Plymouth, 5.033 145.13 MPH (Current top MPH, Mike Schmidt, 146.60 MPH)

6.50 Index: No slouches here with Jimmy Harell nailing the index with a .008 over. There where a slew of mid to upper 40's, so this one is far from over.
1. Jimmy Harell, Plant City FL, 6.508, 107.13
