Default 582 Combo's

Hey guys, just dropped my motor off at the shop to get Freshen up. Was thinking of maybe trying to get some upgrades done to it (more power upgrades) but was up in the air what to do to it Here is what it is
582 4.375x4.600
BMF 385 Heads fully Cnc'd by BMF
Erson "asshole grind" Cam
# 420-116
Int-808 Ext-765
Duration 314/324 @50 284/298
112 L/C
Compression is 14.2:1
Sniper Intake Ported
Terminator
will be going into a dragster

I'd like to gain 30-50hp any thoughts on maybe a cam swap or ??

thanks

David, would you happen to have the flow numbers for your heads?

Thanks,

George

I wish I did. But do not, might not be a bad thing to have done when they are off the motor.
I talked with Curtis he felt he could gain some, but sounds like he is pretty busy for awhile.

960hp without vacuum pump, figured 970-975 with it. The TQ slips my mind at the moment and I am not with the dyno sheet
It runs very strong but with added weight (suspension) to my car I am hoping to gain a little back with the motor.

i see you getting 30/40 more with some trick head work, maybe get another opinion on your new head work/cam combo..

reason i say this is that Scott Duggins of PAR Racing Engines down here in S.C. is getting a little over 1,000 hp on his 565ci with the new oval port heads.

but make no mistake your 582ci is making some power on its own now,.

its killing my little raggy 511...lol

Brian, I have no doubt this motor would go over 1000hp on Par/RM/APD/OC and several other dyno's, but still I think there is some on the table. It runs darn good, just adding 100lbs to the car another 30-50hp would help offset this.
