Default 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers

I have 1 3/4 hed hedders now and the flange overhangs the port by 1/8 to 3/16" causing reversion. Engine is a 7600 rpm 406, solid roller cam .667 lift, 1000 cfm carb, canfield 220 heads, hurricane intake in a 4x4 mud racing truck.

I think the 1 7/8 will fit the exhaust port(std chevy not spreadport) better than the 1 3/4. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Here's a little info for others that have a truck and want big tube headers. I purchased the Schoenfeld 1 7/8" header pt # 917-153 and they fit really good. Minor .5" trimming of the frame on passanger side was all that was needed. These are a little shorter than regular truck headers.
