Default How to estimate new engine mileage?

When planning an engine build, how can one estimate potential fuel mileage? Thanks.

Way to many variables here.

Think you might want to tell us BB or SB, use of engine, alcohol or gas, NA or blown etc.

I could say it will get 100+ mpg but that is as silly as your post.

I have been happy with about 3 gallons per mile

that includes .driving to the lanes and making a pass and of course driving it back

i used 2 gallons of methanol per run, warm up and pass, tow back. not sure what kind of mileage that works out to. i was ok with that

fuel mileage may vary
