Default BBC HEADS ALUMINUM OR IRON

Going to build a 396 for a 69 Camaro. This will be a street car that will see the 1/4 mile maybe a couple of times a year. My goal is to get around 500HP. My question is should I put on aluminum or iron heads? And why? Thanks for your help.

Aluminum..With a big block chevy you will take 75 lbs off the car by going to aluminum heads.I also think you can get away with a little more compression with the aluminum vs iron. (pump gas)..not possitive about the compression but I have weighed BBC heads both iron and aluminum and the difference was 75 lbs on mine...
