No it will not work.

That computes to a 10.305 deck ht and if your block is unmolested it will be a 10.200 deck.

Can't butcher them that much.

Ed

PS.
If they are real cheap they would be good to put on the shelf though.

What are the Diamonds? Are they on the shelf pistons in a stocking size or something custom? I MAY KNOW A COUPLE OF PEOPLE to ask.

I caan get you more along the lines of what you might need even in an on the shelf style. Possibly. Not that cheap though. If it would be standard off the shelf It wouldn't be much more though. iF it is a blower piston that would be more and heavier built.

Ed, as long as you have your computing hat on, how would this fit:
I have generation 1 Dart Heads, been decked (looks as if one got slammed by a piston some time in the past), been ported, 58cc chambers, 220 runners, 208 int., 160 exh.
6" Manley rods, Ross 9cc dome w/1.196 compression height. Block is 400 SBC, decked for cleanup only. Callies int crank w/3.625 stroke.
Comp Cam 12-940-9 circle track, Gross valve lift 0.645 0.63, duration @ 0.02 Tappet lift 290 300, Valve timing @ 0.05 Int 24open 56closed, exh 58open 26closed, lobe lift 0.43 0.42, lobe sep 106. 943-16 valve springs @551 lbs operating. Topped with Super Victor port matched, Holley 850 double.
I'm coming up with 640 HP with 635 torque 4500-7500 rpm. But not sure about the valve clearance.

[Davebat,
I never gues horsepower about anyone's engines. There are just too many variables that really change things and can make it all different. I only guess power on my own stuff or of that of another builder that I know very well about all his traits and combinations. Sorry, I just can't guess.

I am usually short when I gues my own but I try to be real. Dyno or race track tells the truth. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the best from one too. I did one for a guy back in 2002 that he has been using all the time and the other day he told me some numbers from it, that wwere far beyond any of my design plans. Actually that happened to me twice the same week. Last weekend another one a nitrous specific engine was ran on all motor and the mph it got blew me away. More than I ever expected and more than I got on the dyno. Each engine is different. Each car is different.

Hotrod Harley,
Can you give me much more specific info about those pistons. I am not a Diamond Daler and don't have their catalog. I was just thinking I might know a couple of guys who could use them. Just trying to help.

LOL, Ed, was trying to ask about the fit, clearance, not the HP. It's pretty much a real shot in the dark unless you've used the same combo before no matter who you are. I used two different programs to come up with my numbers which can be way off.
But if you have "A GUESS" about the valve clearance, that would help.

Thanks,
