Your times and mph seem within range but your 60 is a little slow. I would think somewhere in the 1.20-1.22 range is where you should be with that ET. Not enough info to help though. Could be rear gear selection, tire pressure, worn out sidewalls, launch rpm, shock settings... Get the picture? None of which I mentioned would have anything to do with the 4link. If you're spinning off the line then that COULD be 4link, lack of front end travel, or the other things above.

car has 430 gear 16x33 tire running tires about 6 psi, launching at 4800,shocks are set on the loose side.car runs mufflers and you can hear just a slight chirp from tires on launch.

Do you have any video of a typical launch you could post?

I agree that 60' is slow for your e.t. . My car weighs 3050 lbs, runs 6. 20's in the eighth and 60' is 1.32

You just wrote what a lot of your problem may be. Never mind that it chirps the tires (?) Racing slicks chirp the tires) With that tire pressure and a tight convertor you ain't gonna get any 60 ' outta it. Maybe if you were hitting it with nitrous but on the motor with a car like that. You need more comvertor and probably more air in the tires.

I still am not understanding a soft compound drag slick chirping the tires though.

Your numbers are fairly close for what you say you have.

The tire was one of the things I wanted to see on the video if there is one. I run a 16X32 tire but I run almost 10 psi of air in them in a car that's about 50-70 lbs. heavier. I found in my own car that the 60 ft. was almost all suspension and pitch rotation. The times show the power is there. If the tire is wadding up it will kill some of the 60 ft. But I think there will be a combination of things and a picture is worth a thousand questions. A video would help a lot. I used to launch at 4800 with GY slicks but since I went to MTs and got the tire pressure right I can launch at 4600 and still get good 60s. I run a 4.86 rear gear as I only run 1/8th mile. The 4.30 gear will also make a difference. If the car isn't pitch rotating then the front will need to be loosened up and/or a 4link change would need to be made. A lot of unanswered questions yet.
