Cam suggestions
Hi new to the forum and have seen that there is some extensive knowledge here. I am building a 427 BBC with 9.5 slugs and big valve edelbrock oval port heads. Intake is undecided but probably a victor oval with 1050 dominator. I plan on using NOS but not specifically a NOS motor.

Ok Badrad, welcome to the forum.
First off allot variables come into play wehn selecting a cam.
E.G.
What type of exhaust do you have? headers, manifolds, open or full.
Do you have any power acessories? A/C, power brakes etc?
Are you going to be racing this car exculsively, or is it a street/ strip machine?
What gears do you have in it?
Also what kind of car is it, heavy or light?
How much NOS do you plan on spraying to it?
What type intake do you plan on using?
Transimission type?
So you see allot of things need to be considered before you can make an accurate cam selection that will be right for your combo.
Please give all the info you know of that pertains to your car / combo and we can help point you in the right direction.

70 Chevelle, 700r4 tranny, ford 9" w/3.25 rear. Mostly driven on the weekends and at the strip. Looking for low 12's on the motor and a 200 shot on the NOS. Only accessories are PS and Alt.

I only recomened a hydralic roller cause of the intended street use but hey if you dont mind adjusting valves go for the solid roller.
Yeah your compression is on the low side for that cam but hey if you got it for a charm I'd stick it in there and see, you'll never know till you try.
