I saw it last night. When I saw the front of the chassis going down the wall headed for the sand trap I thought were is John. Unbelievable.
Do you think the timing block that Kenny hit blew John's tire? If you look at the replay it headed to the back of John's car. I wouldn't think it would do that but at 300 plus who knows. It looked like to me the tires blew and rattled the car to break it in half. Who knows but what a scary deal.
As long as John is alright.

I am with you Vince.

It looked to me like a piece hit the back of John's car just as he pulled the chute.
At that kind of speed there could have been a vortec that pulled that timing block right into the back of John's car causing it to rip apart.

No matter, I too am glad John did not suffer any worse injury than he did.
Still, his season is over and I wish him a complete and speedy recovery.

Our thoughts are with you John!

Vince: if the trap box had nothing to do with it then it was one heck of a coincidence...i think maybe some un-seen hardware got under the tire or something from that Box...

How fast do you think was traveling when it hit that wall ?
he was over 300 mph when he crossed the traps..so i would say 260-280 mph just before impact...any other thoughts ?

i thought it was a pissy way for Greg to lose the Pro-stock race...but i loved when he made the statement that he was concerned about John Force and that "he ( John Force) was Our Dale Earnhardt oF Drag racing.

It just goes to show how fast something can go so terribly wrong. Thank the Lord that everyone survived. God bless you John and the rest of your family during this time.

john force is kinda like your father figure, makes sure your spare
tire has air, you have a couple dollars to eat, and a jacket to keep
you warm. it's just the profession of going over 300 mph, something
is going to give, you fix that problem and then you have another
problem with other parts. After all the yrs he has been racing,
you would think they had it figured out, but as you fix one problem
another comes up, their still upgrading the cages which is causing
stress on other parts of the car, like i said, at that speed and trying
to go faster every season, i bet you can see ghost flying going that fast.
godspeed for john force
