new to all the racing
I've been going around RJ checking out all the areas. I don't know all that much about racing, but I do know that my son loves it.
So let me ask this: why do people enjoy this site? Are there good deals here? I'm curious.

There are some good deals on RJ, but that's not what makes the forum special.
There's lot's of good family people here who are willng to help in any way they can when another person has a problem or needs advice on a problem with their vehicles.
Not only that we are for the most part all gearheads and live and sleep cars.
And some crazy ones here to, but all in fun.
Zip.

1. This is a family friendly website.
2. Some of the most knowledgable racers, rodders, and builders are here.
3. Fun
4. People that truly care and take time to help each other out.
All of these reasons plus so many others make this site unique and an enjoyment to be a part of.
I hope you stick around and your son gets into drag racing the right way...this is the right place to learn and have fun doing it.

How old is your son? What part of drag racing does he like?
My son is 22, has always been around hot cars because of me, but really got bit hard by the drag racing bug this past weekend when he got to shoe a 10 second '37 Chevy at the strip.
He's now seriously looking at taking his deployment bonus and buying an altered, by the way.
Now I've gone and done it. Next thing he'll tell me is he wants Chevy power. Oh, the shame of it all.
