Default Steering arms

I am looking to change over the front drum brakes on my newly aquired 1970 Nova, for my wife and kids, to factory syle discs. My question is, are the steering arms(where the tie rod hooks into) the same between drums and discs? Thanks, Sean

I believe they are different if using factory items. You can get discs from US Brakes (among others) that will work with the stock ones.

I seem to remember, drum to disc conversions (factory) used different spinles.... could be wrong. Unless you can find good used stuff from a disc brake camaro or nova, It would be a good idea to check out the aftermarket stuff..

All of the aftermarket kits I looked at which have all stock type parts, including new spindles, don't have the steering arms :? Since most of the kits are from dealers, I wasn't sure if their "tech" line would know. Sean
