Default more mopar 340

more ?'s about my son's duster--will the 727 & converter that is behind our 340 now work with a 360? i know a 360 is externally balanced, does this require an externally balanced converter?--also what is the significance of "j" heads?,the combustion chambers & valves are the same size,no one can seem to tell me what the majic "j" means
thx. Jeff

Yes the converter needs to be balanced, A tranny shop charged me $25.00 a couple of years ago. The "J" head is the 340 4bbl head 72 and later, it is also the same head, casting #'s and all as the 360 4bbl head which was introduced in 72
