428 stroker OR 400 buildup????????????

Default 428 stroker OR 400 buildup????????????

looking for opinions on either building a 428 SBC stroker or 400 buildup,Cant make up my mind on which one to build,I using the bowtie aluminum block I have and the 6 inch rods I have,getting ready to buy the crank and pistons,just want ing to know which is gonna be my best bet for HP,this motor will be blown on alcohol!

With your 6.0 rod i would use a 3.75 stroke otherwise your ring pack will need to be to far up on the piston for a blown application.Bill

Unless you are building a tall deck and then put more stroke into it.
I am with Bill 3.75 for a std height block.
Piston design outweighs rod length.
