adjustable 4 link suspension
#2
mcrace cars can help you out here..but from a none chassis building guy..i will tell you that the 4 link comes in a kit and you have to do some major modifications to install on a car that doens't have this set up already and some that do.......also keep in mind "BUDGET" and "RACE CAR" do not go together in the same sentence very well...speacially when you start talking about having a 4 link installed or other chassis work....
Most "GOOD" LOCAL Chassis builders here locally get anywhere from $4500 TO $5500 for a 4 link set up to be installed. i have seen higher depending on what must be done.
if you do not hear anyhthing i am sayimg in my reply to you please listen to this.......Please choose the proper chassis builder to put together (fabricate) your 4 link..the cheapist way is not always the best route to go...Please take this to heart..
thanks brian

Impala2door70,
as Brian and Wesley stated, 4 links and budget do not belong in the same sentance. But of course, the word budget can mean different things to different people.
4 link kits alone can run anywere from around 300 bucks and up. Then you need the rod ends, and that can more than double the price.
There is no were to mount the front brackets on impalas , so all that would need to be fabricated, etc etc,
New frame made up, lots of labor and parts here to get it installed correctly.
And if you do this, I agree, find a good chassis guy to do it right and in a reasonable time frame. You are paying to not have to do the job twice.

impala2door70,
Tell us what you have in all details, how much horsepower you are planning and how much weight and how quick are you trying to go.
I do prefer a good long tube 4-link above everything else if I am doing all the tuning, but with many of my customers, ladder bars, and other suspension set-ups are the best way to go. You would be surprised at what can be done even to an old trailing arm car or truck for example.
Are you running in a class that has suspension limitations or requirements?
