Default Breathing issues

My son has been racing for quite a few years. All of a sudden he is having breathing issues while racing. He finds himself holding his breath. By the time he realizes it. He cant breathe and has to drop out of race. He tried a new helmet with air coming in. It worked one night, but last night it completely fogged up and he was holding his breath again. If we can't find a solution, I'm afraid his racing days are numbered. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is he not breathing because of the visor fogging up?

Work on some breathing exercises? Maybe he is getting over excited on the starting line and maybe hyperventilating?

Hi,magic 8 ball online
It sounds like your son may be experiencing anxiety-induced breathing issues during races. This isn't uncommon in high-pressure situations. Working with a sports psychologist or coach experienced in breathing techniques and race anxiety could help him manage this. Additionally, ensuring proper helmet ventilation and practicing breathing exercises during training may alleviate some of the symptoms. Don't lose hope; there are solutions out there to help him continue his racing passion.

Better to wear a new helmet and also try to do some simple exercise in the early morning time. Breathing exercise and doing some warmup exercise is good for him.
