Exclamation Scam alert!

Had somebody respond to my add this week for a dirt track car. Seems that he ended up sending what appears to be a stolen check from an insurance company in Florida.

He went by the name David Kim on his text messages.
Cell #936-666-4173 (registered in Texas)
Sent check from Florida from an ASI Insurance company (assumed stolen)
Return address on envelope was to Jeffrey Branch in New York.
Wanted me to deposit the check, he sent an extra $1,250 that he wanted me to then wire money to a David Strelecki in California who was going to be here tomorrow to pick up the car.

Played along with him for a while before telling him my local police chief recommended that I send his check back. I asked him which address to send it to and I haven't heard from him since.

I know this is a classic scammer approach...be aware guys!
