Lively you are right. You would be supprised how much adrenaline changes your body / mind for a few minutes. I have my own pain issues in my hip and back. That's how I got back into racing. I was a really good amature golfer and played every weekend, but had to quit because the pain was too bad. (this month is 6 years of it) Anyway, you would be supprised how the pain goes away when I suit up and go down the track. The bad thing it comes back in a little while, but for those few minutes it honestly does go away.
