Evaporating Race Gas
I am currently running a 502 with just under 10to1 comp. The vehicle is a full size blazer set up for side by side mud drags. The VP rep suggested going with their new oxygenated race gas. I am having problems with this gas evaporating as it goes into the intake. I made my first pass on Sunday and at the end of the track I let off the gas and it stuttered and quit. I first thought I lost an ignition box or coil or spark related when it wouldn't fire back up. I checked all that and everything is fine. I could pump the dominator over and over and the gas would evaporate before it reached the cylinder. The plugs were dry. I let it cool for a couple hours and it fired right up. Did I get a bad batch of gas or is this gas not designed for my application or is something else? Thanks for any and all help.
