On the last deal . . first of all, don't go into places that put you at a disadvantage. Second, even out in public, stay aware of what is going on around you. At night, try to park where a security camera can see you. Most of the punks know what they can see and don't want to be part of the show. Then pay a lot of attention to who's where before you get out . .
Remember, if you get blindsided, a 155 howitzer ain't gonna help you . .
Same thing with going back to the car. Stay in the open til you get to the car, then look between it on both sides before you go between them. Once you're in there you're at the greatest disadvantage, so keep your back against the car to your left until you get your door open, then put your left knee against the door after you open it. Roll into the driver's seat and pull the door shut in one motion . . Don't give someone a chance to get behind you.
It's a goddamn shame that we have to act like this but a gun won't do you a whole lot of good if someone can get you between a couple of cars unless you're a real badass . . Then you don't need a gun . .
