Which brings us to the question, if you have a 300lb rock in the boat :?: :?: and if you throw it overboard :?: :?: will the lake level rise or will it fall :?: :?:
Zip.
The water won't rise or fall because the rock displaces the same amount of water, whether it's in the boat, or in the water.
Not this time, the boat displaces more water than the rock, so in fact the lake level will fall, due to the boat rising and the size difference between the boat and the rock.

Ya nailed me Zip! MY question is: Why do you have a 300 pound rock in your boat? :P
