I have been using a Race Pump on the street and track with both pump fuel and Methanol for about 2 years with no problems. I use a Holley 4 port reg with one of the 1/8" NPT fittings utilized as a -4 return/bleed with a Holley jet screwed into the back of it (exactly as the Race Pumps reg is set up. They told me it wouldn't work but it has been fine). The only weird thing is at idle or less than 1000 rpm the pressure is quite low and fluctuates a bit. At 1200 rpm its rock solid. This works to my advantage with alcohol as I can run 9 psi at any real rpm and pressure drops to about 4 or 5 psi at idle.

I should add that my SBC is N/A, only makes about 480 HP and runs 11.0 @ 122 so may not be applicable to your power and application.
