The cam is a ultradyne .765 int and .714 lift exh, duration is 276 int and 284 @ .050 with a 110+4 centerline. Eldelbrock tunnel ram( port matched to heads), bird catcher injection with high speed lean out. PG and 5500 stall. 4.29 rear gear and 33 tire. In a 1900 lb altered. My best time was a 1.1375 sixty foot and 5.16@131mph. I average 5.2's all the time and a 1.1430's sixty foot .
Is it possible to get in the 4.9's with some head work or flycut the pistons to get a larger cam. any ideas
Different cam would help
Erson- 420-116 808/765 Lift 284/298 duration 112 CL would be a good Cam, 6100-6200 stall conv would help also. Call Reher Morrison for the Cam call Hughes for a conv. Is this a 8" or 9" conv you run now ?

IMO you dont want to touch them heads. My 548 had the cam I suggested to you, 10:1 comp dart 355 cnc'd heads, out of box super victor, 5900 stall atd 9" conv @ 1900lbs it went 4.90@142
I put the 355's on a 468 a month ago in a 1925lb car 8" 5700 stall conv, gm crank, eagle rods, 13.5 ross pistons, 690/710 roller cam, 454R intake it ran 5.08@134 8.05@164 this past weekend.
