Just remember that when your electrical system is on either with a key switch or battery diss-connect that the solenoid will be energized and draw power. I wired mine through a switch and relay so that I could leave the battery diss-connect on without the solenoid drawing power and getting warm. They say it only draws 1 amp but still bugged me.
