In back to back tests on my superflow dyno the Jackson lost 8 h.p. compared to a stock timing gear set,probably due to the wedging action.the best gear drive out there is the Shaver Wesmar which is the same as the old Summers drive but updated with aluminum frame and polished gears.
The Jesel or C.V. products belt drives will run for several thousand race miles without a belt change and are the best choice if the budget allows. Bill
