Hi Carl,

You are the man for braving that heat! Your car feels the same way about the heat. Now throw on a fire suit for some more fun.

Pull some plugs, and let us see what they look like.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on that Hot Rod?

What about jet extensions in the rear bowl?

In that kind of heat more jet will help. If you re jet the carb, watch your plugs to see what the changes are doing to the engine.

Where is the fuel pump located, and what kind is it?

Anything in the fuel lines, regulator, or the pump?

If you can pull the fuel line, put the line into a 5 gallon jug and turn the pump on and make sure it's working properly.

You are on heading in the right direction. What was the 60' time on the 13.231 pass?
