Well believe it or not like most high end race tracks they really dont make enough money to keep a bracket program going, fact is its probabloy cost them money to host a weekly bracket only event, but most still do for the mere fact they want to keep the sport alive, sadly bristol doesnt feel that way.
The nearest big name track to me is Memphis Motorsports Park and they have been struggling to keep their bracket program going, they've cut the schedule way back but they still do it. It cost them more just to turn on the lights and pay the staff than they will ever make in tech cards and buy backs, If you go to a saturday night bracket program the stands are almost empty, only filled with the few patrons that come with the racers and maybe a diehard race fan or two.
Now take a thursday night test and tune session and the stands are packed, the staging lanes are 200 cars deep and the consessions are out of nachos.
Tracks are a business bottom line and if they cant make money then the fact is they will have to cut out things like our beloved bracket program.
