An LSX GM built 427 with iron sleeves and forged rotating assy can be bought for around S6500.00 from Smith Motors in Ar. I was looking at one of those, but it would still cost about $12,00.00/$14,000.00 to get it to the track.

/\ Yes, by the time you buy all the LXS unique items (MSD LS crank trigger ignition system, coil-packs, LS water pump, heads, intake and custom LS headers), it would cost a small fortune to make the LSX conversion. I would probably go with the GMPP LSX block and build a 454 CI LS engine (4.185" bore and 4.125" stroke).
