Shorty power glide...
I have a 1.82 stock gear set glide. The output has been re splined to make it a shorty. When I got the trans the guy said it would be fine behind my motor. It was a 406 that was only about 550 horsepower.
Well I just bought a 406 that is 738 hp at 7200 and 578 ft pounds of torque at 5800.
My car is a mild steel dragster so I am about 1850 lbs with me in it...
Do you guys think this tranny will hold up or do I need something more serious? I dont have the money for a dedenbear case glide.
I wouldnt mind trading mine and some cash for one that would work for me, if mine wont....
