I will respectfully disagree with this as I have had engines with heads studs sealed with the loctite 582 for quite a few years w/o so much as a drop from a head stud.

The Block sealers mentioned above have only been required on engines w/ head studs that people installed dry.
x2 have used thread sealer with good luck
