Seems to me at 3600 ft or so, thats too big on the jetting. As the altitude comes down the air is obviously getting better and bigger jetting will work better. I ran a 496 with a 1050 in my Camaro for a time and we'd start out in the heat with 90's and later as the air got better we'd go to 92's or occasionally 94's. If you can burn it - do it!
