Yes, it would be ok.
Most guys gear it so they have a 10.0 to 11.1 final gear ratio No matter how you get there it is still the same.
I run a 1.80 straight cut low gear power glide and a 5.67 rear gear (with 44's). I leave at 5,200 and go across the finish line (200') at 7,800 to 8,200. A 6.20 to 5.67 rear gear is the most comomn setup for a P G and no nos.
