I don't know that the US can keep up with the imports EVER, i haven't owned an import in over 30 yrs unless you count an Anglia. it's hard to tell what you're buying anyway Ex: the chevy evo 5 cylinder motor is built in Taiwan or somewhere over there. I was in Vegas last yr for 5 days and had to get a rental car, it happened to be a Hundai, that sucker got unbelievable gas milage, i drove it foe 5 days and filled it up before turning it in, it 5.5 gal of gas, the same car sells for under $13,000.00 and gets 36 mpg hwy and 30 city. Would i buy one? NO, but lots of people would/will compared to the $41,000.00 price tag of a domestic vehicle. Guess i'm stuck with my gas hogs because i'll only buy Domestic.
O'k i'm done
