motor plate hitting the head
Here's my question, has anyone had a problem with the motor plate hitting the head and not allowing the plate to mate flush with block? (obviously driver's side only because of head stagger) The heads are old brodix ('80) and stick out 1/4" past the block. I bought 1/4" water pump spacers to offset the plate at the water pump, but that also includes spacing the plate out 1/4" from the chassis mount and the 2 lower block holes as well. Is this just a really thick older head issue or is this common with some aftermarket aluminum heads?
