Also when using nitrous what kind of crank should I use every one I find is 400 to over 1000 dollars and I haven't got any money like that LOL. Also I have thought about getting the crank and rods reconditioned in my engine and getting the ICON pistons except for a 355 app. and still be able to use NOS is that possible or would it come apart in seconds?
Any motor with a bad tune on nitrous can come apart.
(cheap with a small shot ) Personal choice would be a scat 9000 cast crank internal balance with a 6 inch rod.
I just built a 385 for a pulling truck with this crank,pro mod 4340 6 inch rods,and sealed power 13.1(240 dome) to 1 pistons.
Scat cast cranks(if balanced correctly will/should hold 500 plus and no more than 7k 7500 rpm.
Stock crank, reconditioned rods with arp bolts and balanced, forged pistons might get away with a 100 to 150 shot as long as the motor is not making more than 300 to 350 fly h.p..(and RPM keeped low below 6500)but its a gamble...feelin lucky?lol.
