NOT the same. One has 4 bolt holes one has 3. Maybe they were all the same in 1980, that I can't say.However, I know that what I stated about the 68-72 is true because I have one of each. So to say that as long as you have the right year mount it will work is not necessarily true. Also, both of my cars are different than my fathers 67 El Camino.
