Nothing to do with longer tire life. The dish soap gets in the porosity of the thin sidewall and hopefully slows or prevents the normal slow leak down of racing slicks run tubeless. This needs to be done right when you mount the tire on the rim because the air pressure needs to drive the wet soap in the tire to seal it up. I used to do it and I think it slowed the pressure loss in the tire during the day at the track, when I ran small MT and Phoenix brand tires.
