Just to clear this up...
This transmission was sold over two years ago to a customer and was sold (changed hands) two times in between now and then. I won't get into the real story about how this transmission changed hands but from what I understand one customer owed another, etc. You know how it goes from there.
This transmission was not originally built for the vehicle that it ended up in, which was not at all anything that Tillman Speed in any way suggested nor endorsed.
How can you possibly prove that there was a crack before the disasterous burnout you mention? As everyone else stated here... you can't do a burnout in first gear like that. You never mentioned that to us at the shop, either?!
Of course we're not going to do anything about a 2 year old transmission that wasn't built for the spec'd car that it went into and changed hands two times in the mean time.
I'm sorry about your problem that you encountered, but in this particular situation I feel that posting ads on craigslist and racingjunk slandering us is not the way to handle it.
