Sorry to hear about this incident. I have not been here in awhile... so read only pg 1 & then skipped to pg 5 & 6...
Mike seems like a kid... I would love to talk to his family (like his father).
It is fair to say that he does not have the money... as he has long since spent it. Perhaps Mike should consider that this world is not so big... people have a way of finding each other. Those who get ripped off do not forget... but those who are crooks seem to just move on to the next victim. All of this going on & we have not even gotten into CARMA yet....
Mike: do the right thing & pay the man. If you don't, you will pay for this incident in many ways... either now or later... plain & simple.
Thecurt: I am sorry to hear about this. I feel bad for your step son too!! We have a go-cart here that we could sell you cheap... but I am afraid it is not the kind you are after (not a shifter cart). Anyways, I hope you guys can recover from this.
