The last I was about to trade for an engine I was told callies crank, Oliver Rods Etc Popped off oil pan, Stock cranl and cat h beam rods. I never like to purchase an engine from an outside source. Just as stated above, maybe the guy that purchased it prior to you was fed a line of BS as well. Buy the parts and build them yourself. Thats the only way to know what you have in the engine
