The famous small block chevy pink rod was just a factory stock rod that was magnafluxed at the enigine assembly planta and then dotted with some pink paint. I had a set in my first sbc engine I built for my drag car and I got them from JC whitney no less for under 2 hundred bucks, I'm sure it was making close to 450 hp and never had any issues but maybe I was lucky.
