If you only have a small number of standard items from a few suppliers, it probably is easier to just continue with manual methods. However, once catalogs start to get larger and more complex, it almost always makes sense to switch to a better process. The up-front cost can be intimidating, but the longer-term efficiencies make it almost a must.
