I am currently working on my 1968 Mustang & need some advice to improve its drag racing performance.
The car is equipped with an Edelbrock intake; Flowmaster exhaust & a 4.10 rear gear ratio, but I’m looking to achieve more consistent launches and better traction on the strip.
what suspension setup /tires would you recommend for improving launch consistency; and are there any specific brands or configurations that have worked well for you? I have checked

Additionally; should I consider switching to a different rear gear ratio to enhance top-end speed? I have a budget of around $3,000 for this phase of upgrades and am based in Texas, so I’d also appreciate any suggestions for local shops or suppliers.
