one of the first questions and perhaps most relivant is what is the rpm range of the operation?if looking for stout street/strip motor to rev at say 4000-7000 rpms id guess around 265-270 degrees @ .050 with the exhaust 5-10 degrees more.with total advertised duration to be about 300-308 intake and about 10 degrees more on exhaust.run as much lift as you wanna or can.latest trend in the pump gas build offs in the magazines lately is to go with mild duration figures with big big lift to produce most power on pump gas with peak hp at 6500 rpm.probably a nice 112 degree lobe sep. to bring peak torque in at about 4500-5000.with peak hp goal to be about 6500 rpms.....but im not a cam designer by any means so id call listed above companies or comp cams.comp is probably most popular cam choice of builders....probably a reason why....jmo good luck...by the way ive heard team g intakes are not a good choice for a single plane also.but id still say 700 hp or more @ 6500-7000 rpms shouldnt be hard to make if above recipe is refined to your exacts.
